I am a husband and father of six children. My wife and I have been married for 14 years, and our children range in age from 2 to 13.
My educational background is in chemistry, and I hold a Ph.D. I have taught at the high-school, community-college, and university levels.
My experience as a husband, father, scientist, and educator has shaped my belief that strong families, strong communities, education, service, and personal responsibility are essential to a strong nation.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and my faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of the principles I strive to bring to public service.
My Foundation
I believe government should not replace faith, family, community, or personal responsibility. Government has an important role, but it must remain within proper constitutional boundaries.

My platform focuses on strengthening the institutions closest to people while protecting constitutional liberties, encouraging opportunity, and demanding accountability from government.

Protect religious liberty, constitutional rights, freedom of conscience, limited government, and the rule of law.
Family & Community
Strengthen families and develop locally supported networks that help neighbors meet temporary needs without creating permanent government dependency.
Education Reform
Expand educational opportunity through homeschooling support, integrated high-school/community-college pathways, technical training, certificates, and degrees.
Healthcare Choice
Increase transparency, competition, direct relationships between patients and providers, primary-care access, telehealth, and lower administrative costs.
Social Security Reform
Protect current beneficiaries while developing a sustainable system that gives future generations greater ownership, investment choice, and retirement assets.
Medicare
Modernize Medicare while protecting beneficiaries and directing more resources toward patient care, prevention, primary care, and coordinated healthcare.
Economic Opportunity
Support small businesses, work, entrepreneurship, responsible spending, and reducing unnecessary regulatory burdens.
Border & Immigration
Secure the border, enforce immigration law, protect legal immigration, and maintain a lawful and orderly immigration system.
Public Safety
Support law enforcement, constitutional due process, community safety, victims of crime, and accountability under the law.

Honor service members and veterans, strengthen national defense, and ensure those who serve receive meaningful support.

Communities helping communities.
I support a community-centered model that helps fill gaps when families temporarily need assistance.
The idea is simple: local residents, churches, nonprofits, businesses, volunteers, and community leaders can organize to help families with practical needs such as meals, transportation, childcare, elder care, new-parent support, illness, emergencies, and household needs.
Government can help communities establish these networks through carefully structured seed grants—but those grants should be startup capital, not perpetual funding.
The objective is for each organization to develop a sustainable structure supported by local donations, businesses, charitable organizations, volunteers, community foundations, and other locally generated resources.
Plant the seed. Build the structure. Empower the community to sustain it.
Build education around opportunity, not repetition.
I support homeschooling and greater educational flexibility while pursuing a major restructuring of the relationship between high school and community college.
The long-term concept is to transition high-school infrastructure and programs into expanded community-college systems so students can begin college-level education at the level appropriate for them, rather than repeating years of material when they move from high school into college.

- Expand certificates, associate degrees, technical training, and vocational skills.
- Maintain financial support for students during traditional high-school years while the transition is established.
